Orange Fracture Management Clinic
About
The Orange Fracture Management Clinic is a private casting, splinting and bracing clinic with a focus on the management of simple / non-complex fractures and soft tissue injuries.

After many years working within busy public hospital fracture clinics, physiotherapist Dan Meachin founded the Orange Fracture Management Clinic to give time-poor families an alternative.

Meet the Physio:
Dan Meachin
Dan is a registered physiotherapist with extensive experience in orthopaedic and emergency department physiotherapy. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 2007, he was allocated to St. Vincent's Hospital (public) in Darlinghurst where he developed a particular interest in orthopaedic physiotherapy, in particular, fracture management.
After relocating to Orange (his hometown) in 2013, he commenced as the Senior Emergency Department / Fracture Clinic Physiotherapist at the Orange Health Service and remains in that role in a part-time capacity. In addition to this, Dan has been a clinical educator to physiotherapy students since 2017. He also works as a casual academic for the Sydney University Rural Medical School.
From 2022 to 2023, Dan coordinated the physiotherapy service at Bloomfield Private Hospital, with a specific focus on the early mobilisation of patients after joint replacement. He has also worked as a casual physiotherapist at Dudley Private Hospital.
In his role as the senior fracture clinic physiotherapist, he has successfully treated in excess of 15,000 patients (developing in-depth knowledge of fracture management and strong relationships with all local treating orthopaedic specialists).

In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, kayaking, cycling, cooking and watching sport (not necessarily in that order).
